Date ideas in Central Singapore
Central is where most of Singapore’s date deals cluster: hotel buffets and afternoon teas around Orchard and City Hall, bars and small plates in the CBD and Keong Saik. The free things are the famous ones: the Marina Bay waterfront, Fort Canning’s tree tunnel, the view from Mount Faber.
If it rains, the National Gallery and the Asian Civilisations Museum are free for citizens and PRs, and the Esplanade has free shows on the Concourse most evenings.

If it rains
The public libraries here are free, air-conditioned and quiet: Bishan Library, Chinatown Library, Geylang East Library, National Library (Central Library), Toa Payoh Library. They close on public holidays.
Let Datify plan it
Pick a budget, a time and an area, and Datify builds the evening: where to eat, what to do after, how long it takes to get between them. If NEA forecasts rain while you would be outdoors, it keeps you under a roof.
